"Mistress"

It has come to my attention on a specific site that a lot of people misunderstood what a "Mistress" is. Some even complained that I "was not a professional Mistress." 

It made me wonder what that means. Luckily, around the same time I've seen a rather fun documentary about BDSM and Mistresses. 

Let me clear a few things:

Dominatrix: They are professionals and they take money, they will tease and play; however, they will NOT, under any circumstances, have sex with you.

Mistress of the Night: They are also professionals, and take money;however, sex is involved. You know where I'm going with this.

Mistress: Regular like me Mistresses will have a contracted sub or not and scene. Have sex or not. But do not accept a payment of any sort. We do it because we like it. We like who we are with. We enjoy ourselves, it is NOT our job. And that, my dears are the main difference.

I've seen many misunderstanding Dominatrix, Mistress, and Mistress of the Night and treating them as one and the same. 

Wrong.

We are not.

Very different.

2 are jobs. 1 is not.

Go figure.

The double standard

You gotta love the double standard when it comes to new submissive vs new Dominant.  New sub and all the Doms go "Shiny!" New Dom and all the subs go "Stranger danger!" However, it's understandable. A lot relies on a Dom. And how much they will accidentally make a mistraks that could deeply injure a sub. While subs run on a "Shiny" frenzy and wanna try everything at once because it's so great and new and omg! Chill. To which I say mentorship should still be a thing. I strongly urge people to do that because having a good guide in the dark is very good in this lifestyle. Someone who teaches you what not to do or to do and why or where not or what can go wrong and why. It's much better than making that huge mistake by yourself with a sub and both don't know what went wrong, how, or why.
